Hotel Continental
Collaboration in the remodelling of the Hotel Continental in Bogotá's historic centre, acknowledged at the 2012 Colombian Architecture Biennial.
The lobby is remade without hiding the structure: the diagonal bracing stays exposed between rough-textured columns, the dark marble floor reflects a stepped, indirectly lit ceiling, and the timber and white stone reception floats on a line of light. Outside, a vertical sign gives the hotel back its place on the corner.
