Marqués de Cáceres house
concept visualizationHeritage intervention in a 1620 house in the historic centre of Honda: whitewashed rammed-earth walls, cane-and-timber roofs, terracotta floors, and a new courtyard with a pool and a lounge under the gallery.
Restoring a house from 1620 and adding a new courtyard.
A heritage intervention in a house in the historic centre of Honda. The whitewashed rammed-earth walls, the cane and timber roof and the plank floor are kept, using techniques compatible with the original materials. The intervention adds a new courtyard with a pool and a living area under the gallery, recovering the relationship between house, shade and water typical of the river’s architecture.
