Loma de Palma house
concept visualizationPavilions over a sheet of water, with a brick lattice.
Light pavilions on a sheet of water.
The house breaks down into lightweight pavilions set on a continuous sheet of water. The water cools the air entering the rooms by evaporation, reflects the light and defines the route; brick screens provide cross-ventilation and privacy. At night, the lit pavilions read as lanterns on the water.

The water
The sheet of water connects the pavilions, presenting the space between them as part of the house’s composition.
At night
The night image completes the house sequence, allowing the presence of its pavilions to be compared with the evening view.
Dusk
The evening view returns to the relationship between pavilions, water and brick screen under a different light condition.
