Carmen de Apicalá house
concept visualizationA house around a water court, under a timber pergola.
A water court under a timber pergola.
The wings of the house are arranged around a water court partly covered by a timber pergola, which filters the sun and casts moving shadows along the route. The pool with its jacuzzi is the centre of the whole; the living room opens onto it, and the white volumes reduce heat gain.

The courtyard between the two wings
Two wings frame the water courtyard; the house is organised around this shared, open void.
The pool under the pergola
The pool approaches the timber pergola, linking the water courtyard with the shaded area for sitting outdoors.
The lounge facing the pool
The living area faces the pool, making the courtyard a visual extension of domestic life inside the house.
